Parish of St. Andrew’s Church, Ham
Electoral Roll Renewal 2025

This is the year when St Andrew’s current Electoral Roll is cancelled and a completely new one compiled
- all the entries on the current Roll are erased.

An Electoral Roll Renewal is required every 6 years.
This applies to all parishes of the Church of England in accordance with the Church Representation Rules.

Being on the Roll allows you to become more actively engaged in St. Andrew’s mission, work and community. It is, for example, a requirement to vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM), to be a member of the Parochial Church Council (PCC), to be a lay member of the Diocesan Synod or the Deanery Synod, to be a Sidesman. The Renewal is also intended to provide the Church of England with a reasonably accurate representation of the membership of each parish church which is why the number on each parish Roll is reported.

The date of the Renewal is set in relation to the date of the APCM. Our APCM is on Sunday 13 April. The official Renewal Period therefore begins Sunday 23 February and continues until Sunday 16 March. During the Renewal Period, everyone who wishes to be on the Roll must submit an application form. Following the Sunday 16 March deadline, no further applications can be accepted until after the APCM.

Eligible members of our congregation are strongly encouraged to submit an application to be entered on the new Roll.
The three eligibility criteria are provided on the application form.

Application forms should, when at all possible, be completed online at:
https://standrewsham.churchsuite.com/-/forms/fgu4phaf

Paper application forms are also available at the back of the church. When completed, they should be placed in a sealed envelope (provided) and put in the box which is also at the back of the church.

Following the Renewal Period, the new Roll is compiled and a names-only paper version is made available at the back of church between Sunday 23 March and Sunday 06 April so that all applicants can verify that their application has been received and entered on the new Roll. This is called the Inspection Period. Any applicant who so wishes may also check or amend his/her Roll entry during this period by contacting the Electoral Roll Officer.

If you have any questions about your eligibility, the parish boundaries, the Renewal process or about the Roll in general, please contact the Parish Electoral Roll Officer,
Dr. Christine Zaher, at zaherc@hotmail.co.uk
or leave a message for her via the Parish Office, 020 8948 7374.
Thank you.
